WCOA going strong

Yep, it's Wednesday again and another day to check up on my word count obsession.

Another good week in the way of not looking at word counts but a bad week in terms of novel writing. Nearing the end of the 15 for 15 contest, which has been fun. I write for 15 minutes or more based on an image prompt with no concern about the word counts. It has been a nice break though very time consuming since I take hours for the prompt to marinate and then have to write it within the 24 hour time frame.

What I haven't done lately due to the contest, internship and blogs, is work on my novels. I'm doing short stories for contests but my YA novel is still sitting at chapter 16 on draft 2. Have a long ways to go if it's going to be ready for readers by March.

I did move all of my word count bars to my new novel page. Now that I know how to make pages, I can have information on my current projects in their own page instead of on the sidebar of the blog.

Might have to focus on word counts this week because I really need to finish Tattle Tell if I'm going to reach my goal. Have at least 20k or more to write asap. Better get to work.

I hope the writing goes well :)

Thanks for entering my blogfest ... just a little reminder that it starts this Friday and runs through the weekend. I hope you still have time in amongst your writing pressures!

Elena - Thanks. I hope so.

Dominic - No worries, I still remember at this point. Just need to figure out what I'm going to write. I look forward to the blogfest.
